PE and Sport at The Three Schools
Vision Statement

'To support excellence in PE through promoting healthy active lifestyle, engaging in competitive activities and developing a determination to excel in a broad range of PE and Sport.'

We welcomed the Government's announcement in June 2013 to provide additional funding for two years to improve the provision of PE and sport in Primary Schools.
At The Three Schools, we believe that PE and sport have a vital role to play in physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of our children. PE and Sport are important in giving children the knowledge, understanding and the tools to make a positive impact on their own health and well-being.
The PE curriculum at The Three Schools aims to enable an increasing self-confidence for our pupils through an ability to manage themselves in a variety of situations. Children will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports of physical activities, carried out in a safe and supportive environment, where effort and hard-work, as well as success, is celebrated.
Furthermore, at The Three Schools, we look to promote our Christian values through sport and positively encourage our children to share, show respect for one another, support for one another, trust one another and work together.


Nature of Support

High Quality Physical Education: Raising standards of all our children in Physical education

•Lesson observations, benchmarking and coaching support through PE Consultants

Competitive School Sport: Increasing pupils' participation in extra- curricular sport

•Support with intra and inter school competition co-ordination and delivery
•Organised competitions at local/county level

Healthy Active Lifestyles: Ensuring all our children have access to regular exercise

•School based Health programmes and intervention strategies
